ART SPECTACULAR!

Our Mission
It was Thomas Rees’ desire to bring musical enjoyment and education in the culture of cast bells to the people of central Illinois. It is our mission at the 3rd annual
ART SPECTACULAR at the Carillon on September 13-14, 2008 to combine the beautiful art work of juried artists with the beautiful music of one
of the world’s finest carillons and local musicians – for the sight and sound enjoyment of the attendees.
At
Art Spectacular “we cater to artists”!

The Event
Art Spectacular, a fundraiser for the Rees Memorial Carillon, is a juried fine art and fine craft fair featuring up to 50 artists with their original artwork for sale in a balanced variety of artistic mediums. It also features musicians, food vendors, gift basket raffle, silent auction, door prizes; and Kids’ Place with art activities, art sale, celebrity story reading, & face painting.  Art Spectacular is held outside on the lawn of beautiful Washington Park, Chatham Road & Fayette Street, in Springfield, IL (see “Directions” page).
