The Mission
It is our mission to foster the appreciation and enjoyment of the visual and performing arts and cast bells. At the 8th annual ART SPECTACULAR at the Carillon on September 14-15, 2013 this will be done by combining beautiful original artwork by juried artists, in a beautiful park setting, with beautiful music by local musicians and one of the world’s finest carillons – for the sight and sound enjoyment of art lovers in the Central Illinois area.

The Event
Art Spectacular, a fundraiser for the Rees Memorial Carillon, is a juried fine art and fine craft fair featuring up to 50 artists presenting their original artwork in a dynamic variety of balanced artistic mediums. Art Spectacular attracts 6,500 art enthusiasts for its museum-quality craft and works of art. It also features patron bucks, local musicians, food vendors, gift basket raffle, silent auction, kids’ art sale; and Kids’ Place. Art Spectacular is extensively advertised in newspapers and on TV, Radio, Billboards, and Signs. Art Spectacular is held outside on the lawn of beautiful Washington Park, 1740 W. Fayette Avenue & Chatham Road, in Springfield, IL – rain or shine. (See “Directions” page).
Saturday, September 14, 2013 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, September 15, 2013 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
(Held annually on the 2nd weekend of September)
Admission: | Art Fair – Free | Kids’ Place - $1.25/child |
Free Parking in the Park and surrounding side streets.
Only Service Animals Allowed.
